FC Haka secured a comfortable 2–0 away win over SJK Seinäjoki II in a match that was rarely in doubt. The visitors’ greater experience in key positions proved decisive, while the home side gave valuable minutes to several promising young talents.
SJK Seinäjoki II, coached by Portuguese manager Paulo Lopes, operated in a 4-4-2 diamond formation, with the midfield unit constantly interchanging positions in an attempt to manipulate the opposition’s defensive shape. Despite the fluidity and movement, the rotations had limited success in creating disorganisation within the defensive block or generating clear breakthrough opportunities (see image and video below).
FC Haka, coached by Tommi Ekmark, lined up in a 3-4-3 formation and immediately looked to exploit the opposition’s high defensive line through well-timed runs in behind. Their direct approach consistently threatened the space behind the defence, with New Zealand striker Oliver Whyte coming close to giving Haka an early lead after breaking beyond the back line (see video below).
Much of Haka’s attacking threat came down the right flank, where right wing-back Oiva Laaksonen consistently advanced into the right channel, exploiting space between and behind defenders to create several promising scoring opportunities (see video below).
For their second goal, Oiva Laaksonen dribbled from deep inside his own half, beating several opponents before setting up Torfiq Ali-Abubakar for a close-range finish (see video below).

Joonas Kekarainen (SJK Seinäjoki II), offensive midfielder born 2005.
Joonas is a tall attacking midfielder with a strong physical profile, good close control, and solid positional awareness. He combined well with teammates and showed determination defensively, winning possession high up the pitch through well-timed tackles. At times, however, he lacked agility when carrying the ball.
His physical attributes are a clear asset. A deeper midfield role could suit him well, giving him more time on the ball, a better view of the game, and greater opportunities to influence play defensively. Looking ahead, he has the potential to develop into a player capable of competing for a top-six club in the Danish 1st Division within the next one to two years.
Abdu Muchipay (SJK Seinäjoki II), left winger born 2008.
Abdu is a quick inverted winger who excels in attacking 1v1 situations. Unpredictable and confident on the ball, he frequently used shoulder drops and changes of direction to unbalance defenders. He also showed a strong work rate by tracking back against his direct opponents. His precise forward passing highlighted both good vision and sound technical ability, while his bravery in possession stood out throughout.
Abdu is an outstanding talent with significant upside. He appears capable of progressing quickly into regular senior football at top-flight level before potentially earning a move to a mid-table club in the Norwegian Eliteserien. In the longer term, he has the profile and potential to develop into a player for a mid- to upper-table club in Ligue 1.
Miika Mahlamäki (FC Haka), central midfielder born 2007.
Miika is a left-footed central midfielder who excels in physical duels and defensive actions. He demonstrated good vision and passing accuracy, consistently making himself available to link play and support possession. Defensively, he read the game well, intercepting forward passes and tracking runners to prevent the opposition from progressing. At times, however, he lacked awareness when receiving the ball in tight spaces, leading to unnecessary pressure.
Miika possesses a well-rounded midfield profile with strengths on both sides of the ball. In the short term, he could be a valuable addition for a mid-table club in the Allsvenskan. Looking further ahead, he has the potential to develop into a player suited to a low- to mid-table club in the Eredivisie.
