Randers FC delivered a convincing 0–3 away win against AGF, striking at key moments with goals at the end of the first half, the start of the second, and again in the 78th minute. A well-organized battle between two talented sides, but Randers proved the sharper team on the day.

AGF, coached by Jakob Hjorth in a 1-3-4-3 formation, showed good dynamics on their right side, with right winger Valdemar Rosenberg dropping deep and right wing-back Zander Grantzau attacking the space behind the opposition’s defensive line.

Randers FC, coached by Christian Hansen in a 1-4-2-3-1 formation, frequently interchanged positions during offensive goal-kicks to manipulate the opposition’s defensive shape, creating space for runs from deep (see video below).

Standout Players throughout the Match:

Zander is an attack-minded right wing-back with very good pace and endurance. He consistently attacks the space in behind with well-timed forward runs and is capable of carrying the ball at speed to exploit open areas.

In 1v1 situations, he is confident and effective, regularly beating his direct opponent to create crossing opportunities. He delivers accurate crosses with both feet, making him unpredictable in the final third. He also showed confidence in taking responsibility from distance, looking to threaten goal with long-range efforts when space opened up.

Zander appears well suited to a wing-back role in a 3-4-3 or 3-5-2 system, where his attacking qualities can be fully utilized. A loan spell at a competitive Danish 1st Division club would provide valuable senior experience and accelerate his development. In the longer term, his offensive profile gives him the potential to develop into a player capable of competing for a lower- to mid-table club in Serie A.

Malthe Larsson (Randers FC), offensive midfielder born 2007.

Malthe is a tall, left-footed attacking midfielder with excellent close control and strong 1v1 ability. He combines good vision with accurate passing and is physically competitive, performing well in both aerial and ground duels.

He scored the second goal by making a well-timed movement across his marker to meet a cross from the left and finish from close range. He also threatened from distance, striking a first-time effort from the edge of the box that forced the goalkeeper into a strong save.

His move to Skive should provide the regular first-team minutes needed to support his development. With consistent playing time, he has the potential to establish himself as a solid Superliga player for a mid-table club within the next two years. Beyond that, his technical quality and physical profile could allow him to progress to the level of a top-six Eredivisie club or a Bundesliga 2 side.
