Sandvikens IF, after a confident performance in possession, secured three important points with a 3–2 victory on a rainy day at Jernvallen. Despite controlling large spells of the match through their structured build-up and effective use of the ball, they were forced to withstand late pressure from IK Brage, who created several chances to equalise but failed to convert. The best talents on display were found in the home side.

Sandvikens IF, coached by Elias Gärd, lined up in a 1-3-4-3 formation. During the build-up phase, they frequently used a double pivot in front of the back three. This created a problem for the opposition attacking midfielder, Albin Sporrong, who was responsible for pressing the nearest central midfielder to the ball. As Sporrong moved across to mark the ball-side pivot, the far-side midfielder, Fabian Andersson, was left unmarked. This allowed Andersson to receive freely and switch play to the opposite side, helping Sandvikens IF progress possession and exploit the space created by the opposition’s pressing structure (see video below).

They also exploited the space in front of the opposition centre-backs, who tended to drop deep and early when defending. By attacking this space with their left winger, Johan Arvidsson, making runs towards the penalty spot, IK Brage were able to create dangerous situations in the box. This was evident in their third and decisive goal, as Arvidsson’s run into the central area helped create the chance, before Wagner reacted quickest to the goalkeeper’s rebound and scored from close range (see video below).

IK Brage, coached by Anders Bååth, lined up in a 1-4-2-3-1 formation. They used inverted wingers, with the right-footed left winger, Gustav Nordh, and the left-footed right winger, Anton Lundin, frequently moving into central areas. Their first goal came when Nordh delivered a precise pass over the opposition defensive line to Lundin, whose run from the right flank exploited the space in behind and led directly to the opening goal (see video below).

IK Brage also overloaded the six-yard box on attacking corners, committing several players to the area around the goalkeeper and creating congestion in front of goal. This approach paid off for their second goal, as Lorik Konjuhi capitalized on the crowded situation inside the six-yard box to find the net (see video below).

With his back to goal, he consistently sets up teammates with clean, intelligent lay-offs, acting as a reliable focal point in attack. Beyond his physical profile, he stands out for his extraordinary work rate—recording the most sprints in his team and finishing second for total distance covered, despite his strong build.

His goal output underlines his level: 11 goals in 12 matches in Superettan, alongside 10 goals in 16 games in the Danish 2nd Division with Thisted. These are numbers that reflect a striker performing above the level, not just adapting to it. He already profiles as a forward capable of making an impact in a low- to mid-table Serie A side.

Diomande Valassina Solo (Sandvikens IF), left centre-back born 2007.

Diomande is a fast, left-footed centre-back who reached a top speed of 35.1 km/h in this match. He shows strong defensive instincts, regularly dropping in to intercept long passes with well-timed actions. His defending is aggressive and proactive, with good timing in tackles and a willingness to engage duels early.

He is also effective in defensive box situations, clearing dangerous crosses both with his head and his feet, and offers value in possession through precise progressive passing from the back line. There is still refinement needed in his positional decision-making, particularly highlighted in the build-up to the first goal conceded.

Overall, he profiles as an interesting left-sided centre-back option in a back three, particularly suited for a bottom-six side in the Superliga.
