In this article, we focus on Markus Seehusen Karlsbakk, one of Lillestrøm SK’s most important players in the 2025 season, whose influence and work rate have made him the engine of the team’s midfield.
Markus is a midfielder for current NM Cupen (Norwegian Football Cup) winners and 1. divisjon (local 2nd tier) champions Lillestrøm SK. Born 2000, in Ålesund, he is youth “product” of his hometown’s main club Aalesunds FK.
Approximately a 180 cm tall player, who possesses adequate physique and strength. The best fit for him when plays as Box-to-box midfielder and/or Advanced playmaker; also he could be an option for the Wide midfielder and Winger/Inverted winger roles, as plays on the flanks confidently too. He is mostly known for his playmaking abilities (progressive / key passes) in addition to his great creativity and vision.

Beside winning the Norwegian 1. divisjon and the Norwegian Cup on LSK‘s side, he made appearance in all league games, producing 13 goals and 13 assists. Thanks to his outstanding individual performance (among others’), Lillestrøm SK has won the league competition undefeated, and will return to the Norwegian club football pyramid’s highest tier (Eliteserien) in 2026.

No wonder, that after this fantastic season his market value (based on transfermarkt) raised to €1.2M by this year’s December. He definitely can be described as a very good fit for the Eliteserien level; ScoutMania‘s opinion is, that he should be on the radar of most of the Dutch Eredivisie and Belgian Pro League clubs.
