Eight-goal game in the Polish III liga Group 1 (4th tier) Matchday 19, as guest team ŁKS Łomża defeated Widzew Łódź II by the final score of 2-6, by making a comeback from one goal down.
The two teams performed similarly in their last five league matches; home side Widzew Łódź II has collected seven points in those games, against the eight points collected by the away team ŁKS Łomża.
Widzew Łódź II, coached by Michał Czaplarski, started and played mainly (in possession) in a 3-4-3 reminiscent shape, but thanks to the team’s flexibility, 4-2-3-1 in possession formation and 5-3-2 / 5-4-1 shapes (in the defensive phases) were also visible. Despite of conceding an early goal (after only 21 seconds), they took the lead before the break (2-1) and also demonstrated a massive resistance in the first half, which allowed them to repel the opposition offense by good efficiency. Young defensive midfielder Kuba Nawrocki (2007 born) definitely stood out from the home side but also in the whole pitch; Adam Paliwoda (1999, right centre-back) should be mentioned too, for his good defensive actions.

ŁKS Łomża, under the guidance of coach Marcin Sasal, opted for a 3-4-2-1 formation. The team demonstrated strong mentality and great fluidity in team-play; the players were also able to showcase individual creativity, in addition to superb effectiveness in front of the opposition goal. Physically strong Hubert Antkowiak (1996) was in the Target man role up front and turned to be a promising finisher, as he scored two goals (plus made one assist in the extra-time) which bring him in the first place of the top goalscorers list (16 hits in 19 league matches). Józef Chorosiński (2007, left-back / left wing-back) also has performed excellently, and not only by his assist and a penalty awarded but for his outstanding play.

This was the last competitive game for both sides in the year 2025. Next time, based on the league draw (expected in February 2026), Widzew Łódź II will host Wigry Suwałki, while ŁKS Łomża will face KS Wasilków at home.
