In a relaxed setting at Riisvangen Stadion, Aarhus Fremad and HB Køge played out a 0–0 draw. The home side saw more of the ball and controlled periods of the match, but neither team managed to find the net in a game with few clear-cut chances.
Aarhus Fremad, coached by Morten Dahm Kjærgaard who has been in charge of the team for 209 matches, adopted a fluid 1-3-4-3 formation where a lot of interchanges and rotation took place especially on the flanks. On their left side, their left winger Kaastrup dropped deep to receive the ball allowing the left wingback and Faroe Islands national player Agnarsson to move in higher position. On the right side, the right wingback Baekgaard moved often inside to attack the back space when their right centre-back Marcus Kirchheiner got on the ball with no pressure.

Their biggest chances came from crosses with Kasper Andersen who was able to free himself in the box but not to finish the attacks with success.
Out of possession they ended up often in a 1-5-4-1 low block which did not give the away team chances to progress through the thirds.
HB Köge, coached by Nicklas Pedersen also in a 1-3-4-3 formation, tried to create danger with their forwards running in behind the high positioned opposition defensive line in the early phases of their build up. Their biggest and only chance though came from an offensive corner with Larsen that from few meters missed the target with his header (74´).
Out of possession they high pressed the opposition by matching the three centre-backs with their forwards (in the image below you can see the striker Thomsen who marks Aarhus Fremad left centre-back Callø) and forcing long balls from goalkeeper.

Here the players who stood out in this match:
Martin Agnarsson (Aarhus Fremad), left wingback born 2003.
Martin was a constant threat for their opponents. He delivered dangerous crosses showing the ability to vary the technique (early crosses, inswing and outswing). He challenged the opposition defensive line both with and without the ball demonstrating great speed and good agility in changing direction. And he entered the box to finish the attack when the crosses came from the opposite side.
He is ready for a role as a starting eleven player in Superliga. He would be a great option for a newly promoted club as Lyngby.
Viktor Sørensen (HB Köge), right wingback born 2006.
Viktor is a tall defender with good defensive positioning and playmaking skills. He showed good composure on the ball and played forward with precise progressive passes. Strong in aerial duels and in defending crosses.
One more season in 1. Division as ball-playing centre-back, rather than as wingback, would allow him to develop even further before a move onto bigger stage. The next step for him could be bottom 6 team in Superliga or mid-table team in Allsvenskan within 2 years.
